About four years ago I have been abroad in Armenia, Turkey, and Sweden, those days I have been alone and uncomfortable with a new country and new people.

for a foreigner like me, it is hard to find places or ask addresses in a non-English speaking country and I had same problems.

and I remember that Google Map was my only friend :slight_smile:

I look for a job and go to interviews

I look for the museum and other must-see places in the city

and also find the best cafe and restaurants

all by google map, I just search the name and finish!

and I never forget those days

so when I am back to my beautiful country Iran

I started to contribute and help improve google maps

and I remember there were a few local guides that were really active and post correct details on the map

and these are what I do :

  • first, I mark all the places that I know on the map for different cities in the country
  • then i try to correct name errors or wrong datils about places that I know
  • i started writing reviews about places that i like the most and add some photos
  • and give answers to people about places

and I try my best to contribute more and improve google maps day after day

because I never forget days that my only guide and my best friend was Google map

and I know many locals and Tourists that are coming to Iran every year may feel like me and finding the right answer on google map help them to be happy and never feel alone. Thanks to Google Map
