It all started two years ago one day as many I cannot remember. Another pop up in my mobile phone, but this time it didn’t want to sell me anything, nor tell me we were moving toward a new economic crisis, it just wanted my opinion about the supermaket I had just visited. Really my opinion ? And that was my first contribution, just one word" “good”.
Who would have said that simple but positive word would be my first step in becoming a Google Local Guide Level 5 !! And here I am !
So it became a hobby at the street, on the bus, or on a taxi, to start reviewing places in my own town, Buenos Aires. I wrote about local details only locals experience everyday, “not very kind”, “quite expensive”, “smelly”, etc. Who would read what I was posting. One more drop in the middle of the web ocean! And for worst, I wrote in english, my mothers language, in a spanish speaking city, Buenos Aires !!
So on the 2nd of March I was just to delete one of the many emails we all received, when I read: “Join us in the Bay Area for Connect Live 2020” Ok another scam… After reading a bit more I realized this is serious… Level 5 ?? I browsed my account and for my surprise my reviews had views I didn’t know !!
And that was when I changed from a hobby to a pasion. I love my city Buenos Aires, I love it’s history because I used to walk with my father to old churches, museums and squares. I love walking my town and discover it’s hidden and sometimes forgotten misteries.
Now I have a chance to share what I love of my place in the world. Thank you!
