Master reviewer badge

While getting the review novice badge was so easy and even easier to achieve the expert one the master reviewer badge is very elusive. I’ve tried to write as many reviews and even included photos but the more I try the harder it gets. Are there special conditions or what could I be doing the wrong way.

Hi @Nguthijosephk

About 1/3 of your reviews are hidden.

Please read about typical review guideline violations here.

If you want to identify which of your reviews are hidden please see this post.

I noticed the following

Please don’t share photos taken from a bus. They don’t show and represent the places very well.

Also, please avoid having recognizable faces in your shots.

Many of your reviews have a description of where it is located. This makes little or no sense as Google Maps does a much better job at this.

You reviewed ENAI Pharmacy but also shared 2 photos and a video of a van. They need to show the pharmacy clearly.

These are just examples, so I recommend your check the guidelines and start deleting all contributions that are not really helpful to Maps users.

Best of luck

Morten

Thanks again and again @MortenCopenhagen I now fully understand where and how I’ve been going wrong.

Hi @Nguthijosephk , I’m a Master Reviewer. For getting the badge you need to fill some criteria. After that you’ll get the badge.

The Criteria is:

  • Review 100 places
  • Write 50 reviews over with over 200 characters
  • Get 50 likes on your reviews

Sure @Saiyen thanks for the information. However I’ve also come to learn from other experienced local guides the likes of @MortenCopenhagen that there other standards that determines good reviews. That is to say a review must meet certain conditions for it to count and in case it doesn’t it gets hidden and the author is supposed to edit it to the required standards or delete it all together.

In my case I was doing fine until I decided to start including photos in the reviews little knowing that photos must meet certain criteria and especially that they must be telling more about the place under review.
