Master Farshchian Miniature Museum

This museum is located in the central part of SaadAbad, and it was built during Qajarian era.

This building was the residence of Reza Shah and his fourth wife queen Esmat.

During Mohammad Reza Pahlavi era, his brother and later his chief cook used to live here.

In the year 2002, this building was converted to Master Mahmood Farshchian Museum. It hosts fifty paintings of this outstanding artist in its five halls.

Mahmoud Farshchian is a master of Persian painting and miniatures. He was born in the city of Isfahan in Iran, and it was here where he started to learn art, painting, and sculpting.

His masterpieces have been hosted by several museums and exhibitions worldwide. He is the most prominent modernizer of the field of miniatures, an art form which was first established in Ancient Persia and later spread to China and Turkey and other Middle Eastern countries.

Hey @Rezgar ,

The Master Farshchian Miniature Museum looks like an interesting place to visit.

Thank you for showing us Mahmoud Farshchian’s work. I think that Eastern masters are not well known among non-experts.
