Marudhamalai Temple is present in Coimbatore (India) and is considered one of the famous temples in the country. According to Hinduism, it is dedicated to Lord Murugan.
It is present at the top of a hill and requires a lot of effort to reach there. If you are visiting here, you have to take 2 buses and finally climbing the stairs. You can also have sky view of Coimbatore city from this temple.
I must say that the temple authorities have maintained the temple very well. Good lighting and neat & clean floor area really attracted me.
You can visit here if you are in Coimbatore city. Try to reach early during the day time to avoid rush.

@Tushar18 Thanks for sharing this. I have not yet been to coimbatore, will visit the next time I get there.
Also where I am from Malaysia, we also have one of the most well known Murugan temple which is the cave temple in Batu Caves. You can read about it here. And the temple has visitors all year round, especially during the Thaipusam festival in late January every year.

Hi @StephenAbraham
Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful information about Thaipusam. I had read about Batu Caves, but didn’t know that it was associated with Lord Murugan.
The pictures are really beautiful. I really like the multi-coloured stairs besides the statue.
You wrote that this festival comes in Thai month. I would like to know that is there any connection between Thailand and Batu Caves (as the name Thai links with Thailand)? Does Thailand also have similar Murugan temples?
