Recently I was given the opportunity to march in the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras with my company and it was an unbelievable experience.
The day started off with a lot of dance practice with a bit of make up and glitter.
From there we took a bus to Hyde Park where we ended up with the rest of the floats and shenanigans. As we were float 33 out of 200 we started quite early at around 8 PM and the whole march ended at around 9 PM. The atmosphere was unbelievable with thousands of people cheering you on with every dance move we pulled (although I looked a bit stiff from the footage on TV). Although the whole march took one hour it was over in a what felt like a flash. I highly recommend anyone who gets the chance to participate.
