The world is very different in this moment, and we cannot go out to clean-up but, even if it is a very “particular” moment, my feeling is that we need to look at the future.
What the world will be like tomorrow?
We are now all experiencing something that is totally new for the whole planet and, while we are trying to react, we also need to move one step back, and watch the world. There are signals that we need to keep in mind. Due to the lock-down of a lot of factories and a lot of traffic, the emission of nitrogen dioxide on China and Italy are dropped down, and we can breath now a fresh and not polluted air. We are learning that, working from home, we can reduce our footprint over the planet.
We need to keep this in mind, when this all will be over, and we will be able to go out again, to meet friends, to enjoy the life.
Awesome, congrats on the second anniversary of this great initiative @ErmesT !
I’m happy I got to experience my first Clean the World last year, with you, the founder, and so many others, and then got to go to one here in Buenos Aires thanks to @Cecilita .
I don’t know exactly what the world will be like tomorrow, but I know that thanks to this project it will be at least a bit better. You are really raising awareness and also encouraging people to do something about it. Congrats again, for that!
Thanks for your post @ErmesT ! I hope to be able to join you next time this is run before Connect Live. The last one looked fun, but it was full when I tried to book a spot. I’ll be quicker next time. I hope, as you say, people better understand how we can help our planet once we emerge from this current ‘lockdown’. Take care.
Amazing @ErmesT . Congratulations on the second anniversary of this important project for everyone. You are a wonderful person and what you do is worth attention and it is very important for each of us. Last year was full of important events, and I hope that this project will expand even faster. And no one now knows what the world will be after we will be able freely go out, but it’s definitely will not be the same as before. The planet is tired of people and we understand that it cannot go on like this. I am happy that I have had the opportunity to meet you in my life.
Thank you @Jesi . As I said I am really surprised that after two years we still going on and cleaning the world.
This makes me happy, because it means that the awareness is raising.
My hope is that the terrible experience that the world is experiencing right now will help us imagine a better world, more respectful and less polluted.
Congratulation @ErmesT for this secondary anniversary. I’m happy to be part of this great initiative. Thank you for launching this Clean The World Projet to save our planet.
That’s awesome! I can’t imagine Local Guides Connect without LGCTW!!! I started using Connect two years ago and for me CTW and Connect forever together.
Congratulations to you @ErmesT and to many and many Local Guides, who are involved in fantastic Local Guide Clean The World project, who are on #CTW Maps and who are just putting their part to clean our Mother Earth!
Ccongratulations on the 2nd LGCTW anniversary @ErmesT . I believe this opened up a new dimension to the Local Guide connect.
Thank you for mentioning my “Sri Lanka Independence day Beach Cleanup meetup” in your post. We all have a lot more cleanups to do. I’m really glad that I and my local guide partner @kasunaaa could contribute via our meetup. I’m sure we are making a better tomorrow even though we don’t know what it would be…
Wow @ErmesT are you telling it’s 2nd anniversary it’s like something happened yesterday, when I was new on connect and seeing a person started a great initiative for whole world, and gradually this initiative became huge, and people came to join from all over the world.
Many congratulations to you Ermes, and @DavidTito , you guys did a great noble work for the world.
During “moving stones” you found many volunteers, who are now giving thier best efforts to Clean The World initiative.
In Pakistan , during last 12 months we had two fantastic Clean The World meetups.
Sir @ErmesT we can’t forget your hard work behind this awareness such a great work start by you we always with you thanks for sharing this post with us .
Can’t thankyou enough @ErmesT for bringing out this idea & spreading it around the globe. It was such a pleasant tag to revisit our Delhi meetup. You think I could post this as my entry to Connect Live? About out forest clean up drive & PM Modi posting it in his sunday talk show? In my contest entry of Most interesting thing i did as a local guide?
