Maps User 100s of images to wrong locations (not an LG)

A user that doesn’t appear to have joined Local Guides has popped up on my radar after posting a huge amount of (mainly black and white) photographs of my local area. Some are duplicated in black and white and colour.

Every one of them has been uploaded against a location that the image isn’t of, most are against 2 places. A local supermarket and “High St”, a street that exists but none of these images are of anything there.

I’ve reported individual images as well as the account (as “other policy violation” as nothing else fits and my idea 9fcalliwing us to explain why we’re reporting is still a dream) but given they aren’t a Local Guide will anything be done?

I could contact this person via Facebook and try to help them understand policies etc but I don’t want to be seen to be trying to get them into trouble or be acting as some kind of personal enforcer. Of course I have zero authority too so they could ignore me :slightly_smiling_face:

What to do? Wait and hope Google act? Try to intervene? Move on with my life and not get so uptight about this stuff?

How would you move on this?

People may game the system even if they are not Local Guides.

Maybe they will join later, or that have been removed from the program.

Reporting is the only option, in many cases I have seen a quick reaction, while in others Google seems to act slowly.

I perfectly understand the difficult to report, so maybe you can check my two ideas for an easy report:

Thanks @ErmesT , I’ll put my trust in the system and see how it goes.

Your ideas get my full support, I posted similar last year but didn’t get much traction. Hopefully you do better, the image helps get the point across.

I think being able to help justify the report is incredibly important at times.

This reminded me of something that happened a month ago. User uploaded 25k pics, in matter of a week, to only few places. 99% of the pics have nothing with place they are uploaded too. Also, plenty of pics of models, and so on. Apparently, user is some amateur photographer, or similar.

Thing is, no one will do anything about this, and it’s been happening since long. I tried too many times to report whole accs, and nothing. I mean when here, on this forum, I reported someone who posted semi naked pics of women, stalking pics of other women, naked/exposed minors, and nothing was done about it, I really can’t have any faith that anyone will care. I reported this issue directly to a Google Mod, almost two months ago.
