I use an iPhone. Unfortunately, I ran into a problem with failed Google queries being answered
To get researcher points
I discovered that the problem is related to the iPhone system after trying the Android system.
The question is, why can’t Google Maps solve this problem?
On desktop, the only other way to do that, even if it is not written in the guide, is to answer questions through Google Search on desktop. When you search for a place on Google search, on the right side of the screen you will see an area with the place shown in Google Maps
Scrolling down you will find “know this place?” Clicking in there, the classic YES -NO - NOT SURE pop-up will appear
Hello @Saieed_Rahman
I wish providing some more clarifications to your query.
First, your inquiry is about notification.
Currently, I do not get a push notification. However, I see all that in the update tab at the bottom of the app. You can try that.
Next, Questions and Answers & Answers to Questions are two distinct entities.
In the screenshot, you have put a circle around Q/A & hence the clarification.
Questions & Answers.
When someone posts a query against a POI, the LGs who visited that place receive a notification.
However, there is no need to wait for such a notification. You can find those in the overview section of most of the POIs.
You can pick any question & provide an answer to that if you have an update. However, it is preferable to restrict the action to questions which appear within the current month.
Although, in the absence of a notification, the task becomes difficult. I have suggested an idea to make that simpler.
Answers to Questions.
Next, when we visit any POI, we get a query “Do you know this place?”. These are yes-no type questions & should not be mixed up with the Q/As as mentioned above.
Alternatively, on an android phone, we can invoke these queries directly in the “Contribute now” section.
Although an iPhone does not have that facility at present, you can try that feature in the Google Chrome browser on your phone.
Here is an accepted solution describing how to do that.
