Maps edit

Hey Everyone,

Not too sure if this is the correct forum to post my question? But I would like to know if anyone could assist me?

I would like to know how I can edit an area in Maps because the section I work at doesn’t come up on maps or in the 3D tool.

I’ve requested feedback but I want to know is there a way I can do it? Don’t mind learning code because I know it would help.

Hi @Bradle_s

Local Guides cannot Edit the map layer. Our activity is related to the information on POIs (Point Of Interest) only

Can you be a bit more specific about what you are trying to do? this will help the community to provide a more specific answer

Thanks for the reply. let me just send a screenshot of what im talking about. But i think i might have to ask the dev team in a separate form?

In this section. If you have to select live view there are apartment blocks here and a restaurant inside the estate. I’ve taken street view images of the restaurant but nothings changed. Dont know if this is making sense.

Are you talking about this area, @Bradle_s ?

In the future please use @ to tag the person you are talking with, just to make sure we don’t miss your notification.

Is this one the restaurant?

If so, I cannot see any 360 photos in there, probably because you didn’t added a business listing to the photo before uploading.

You can do it now, using your Street View App. You can add a map listing to your photo following this procedure, well explained on Publish and connect 360 photos with the Street View app :

  1. Open the Street View app

  2. Under “Profile” or “Private,” below a photo not tied to a Maps listing, tap Add a Maps listing.

  3. See a list of nearby places, or search for specific place.

  4. Tap the Maps listing that you want to update.

BTW, I suggest you to remove the photo, blur the faces, and upload it again, adding the business listing. In this way you will respect the privacy, avoiding possible issues and request of removal for privacy violation
