This meetup is about a discussion on Google Maps. It is intended to show attendees the benefits of Google Maps to our daily living here in Calgary. And also to let them know about the Local Guide Community and how to participate. The event is totally free for all attendees, the only thing required of them is their smart device (e.g phone) for the purpose of Google Maps demo.

Is the intention of this meet-up only for explaning Google Maps to non local guides? I’m not sure how far this message will spread, as only local guides can access this fourm. Depending on my schedule, I might be interested.

You can tag Connect members in your posts by writing @ before their name. This way they receive a notification and know that you are trying to communicate with them directly.

@DFX apologies for this late reply. Yes that was one of the focal points of the meetup. However, we also published on Meetup. So most of the attendees came from the Meetup publication.
