In 2016, when I signed up as a Local Guide (when it was a 5-level system), I made a few contributions before other life activities took up the space.
During the 2020 lockdown, I checked my timeline and saw a record of many places I had been to; I made reviews (as I could remember) and added some pictures (the ones I still had).
Since then, I have constantly made contributions to Maps. Now at Level 8 and with a total of 2.4M views, it truly is exciting to make valuable contributions to Maps and to see that those contributions actually do help people.
Being a Google Local Guide is a truly great hobby.
