Hi everyone,
I love to travel and wish to share pictures of unrecognized, uncharted places which has not been recognized digitally on any social platform or not known to most of the people. As a part of my solo travel adventures I have noticed that there are many places especially down south which has local and historical significance but still not known to even most of India.
I would like to get these places mapped on google, through sharing reviews and pictures, adding timings contact details, food, amenities, etc., with a detailed information on the lifestyle of these places. This I feel will be a great addition to abide by the local restrictions and rituals that people follow as a sentiment.
While my aim is to promote the rich culture and heritage of India, I also believe that tourism is a booming industry and a wonderful way to connect globally. Hence, I strive to improve the local tourist areas and get more people to visit India’s hidden heritage. Adding such missing places on maps can help the people of its localities to develop their tourism business for their survival and livelihood.
I’m grateful to my job for giving me such a good opportunity of being placed in different locations and explore the hidden treasure of India. I get to interact with different people and local communities and know about their culture which excites me the most. While I lived alone in South India, a land far from my home, I learned to get acquainted with something I never thought I would see.
My passion made me paint the states of Andhra, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Odisha, Karnataka and Gujarat and have added plenty of town red, adding pictures of local areas like roads, junctions, gardens, temples etc., to make it more convenient for people to locate these areas… I would love to continue this work and grow.
Secondly, I as a local guide, I have noticed many unintended errors where are being wrongly uploaded and updated. As a responsible local guide I work towards improving the content through my active contribution and help make the maps of our locality more eco-friendly and tourist friendly too.
Till Google started recognizing, I was uploading contents in an unorganized manner, now I have become pretty serious about my content and method. It’s us “The locals” who are actually carrying/bringing information to the public, and it is our duty to present right, reliable and illustrative content. What we share today, will reflect in the coming years and make a big impact on the generations to come in this digital era.
Tourism has always been fascinating to me, and I aspire to take my passion to the next level through getting people around the world know more about India, a country of cultures and the land of lords!
Thank you !
