Mapping Music Venues in Kansas City, MO

KKFI has been Kansas City’s independent, noncommercial community radio station for about 3 decades and they put on several fundraising music shows you should check out. I was able to learn more about this recently over a few beers at Brewery Emperial in the Crossroads District of KCMO. (Crossroads location: https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/KKFI-Fundraisers-Sing-to-Music-Lovers/m-p/1633785#M420878). The topic was so rich, we moved on from there to check out a few spaces and local businesses in the area I thought might be good to consider.

But first, I learned the next event takes place in June at Folly Theater. The Folly is a gem of Kansas City and recently had some upgrades. You should definitely check it out and give it some new reviews, based upon those upgrades. “KKFI Collaborations Live 2019” celebrates its third year and the idea is a musical relay.

September 7th is one of KC’s most anticipated events, the KKFI Crossroads Music Fest. This event spans several venues throughout the crossroads, and features musical acts small to large. Attendance is near 1,500 and many of the experiences are free and family-friendly. A great chance to check out typical and atypical venues, daytime and evening shows, indoor and out door venues, each within relative walking distance of one another. http://www.cmfkc.com/

Even if you’re not sure whether you like Blues, you should definitely check out the event, Blues Kitchen, held at Knuckleheads. I guarantee your most outrageous post is going to come from a review of this place!

It was a pleasure to hear about everything in the works. I can’t think of a better way find venues, bars, and some great food than by enjoying each of these shows!
