I’m working on improving Google maps with regard to the listed (or not yet listed) skate spots in Germany, writing reviews, trying to contribute meaningful photos, etc. Anyone out there, engaging in the same or a similar field? Happy to connect and share thoughts!

That’s a rad initiative @SurfingTheConcrete . I just found a new (to me) spot last week. I added video of the newly added pump track: Fountain Hills Skatepark
The few secret spots around me wouldn’t handle traffic well if they got added to the map.
Thanks a lot, JustJake. Good point! However, I intend to mainly add or update rather public spots. Not secret or private spots of local communities. These should just remain as they are.
Hello @SurfingTheConcrete , this is a very well thought out event, so many people involved in this sport will find the points quite easily. It is a great idea, but I can say that if you hold a virtual or real meeting with the guides living in Germany and share it, you will be much more successful.

It can be difficult to find peers with the same interests as you. I would suggest that you also note who else is adding photos and reviews to skater places in Germany. Unfortunately, we can not contact other Local Guides on Google Maps, but you can check if they might have added some contact info in their profile text on Maps. This can only be viewed in the mobile apps. Or you could be lucky that they are using the same name on other platforms like facebook and Instagram. If so, you can try reaching out to them that way.
You could also consider sharing some info in your Maps profile allowing others with the same interests to find you.

Thank you very much for your advice! Most helpful! Indeed, it’s a rather specific topic and I don’t expect that many peers have the same (strange) idea
