Salut @JEREMIE33FR
I am in France, and I notice that my modifications are often not taken into account. I actively participate in my city which is constantly changing, but roads, old buildings, new buildings, new streets are not taken into account.
I give correct information which is not verified.
While Google does aim to do it’s best moderating edits, sometimes edits are incorrectly denied. I would ask that you create a post on the Google Maps Help Forum with the following information for each edit that you believe was incorrectly denied:
-
Complete name, location of the road or business, or feature for which your edit was denied.
-
Screenshot of your Google Maps contributions page showing the edit.
-
Screenshot of the email acknowledgement you would’ve received after submitting the edit.
-
Some sort of proof, such as a street sign (for an incorrectly named road), etc.
The experts over there would be happy to assist you further.
On the other hand, everyone can add anything on the maps.
The satellite view is wrong, so is the default view, which does not help Google map users with wrong information. I would really like to get in touch with Google Fra, this.
Thanks everyone.
You should be able to request an imagery update, yourself, from within Google Earth (not Google Maps) by following the instructions in this thread: Google Earth Help → Google Earth Frequently Asked Questions:
"11. Can I recommend an area for an imagery refresh?
Yes. You can use our Feedback tool within the Earth menu to recommend an area for an imagery refresh. Please be sure your area of interest is in the center of your screenshot when submitting your feedback and use the text “I would like to recommend an imagery refresh” in the feedback window.
We compile these requests to help us develop our imagery plans, as user interest is very important in determining which areas we want to refresh and how often. Please keep in mind that the imagery collection and update processes can take several months to years and that these refreshes are done on a best effort basis. Also, factors such as imagery availability from our vendors as well as cloudy weather can delay imagery refreshes. Many areas of the world are habitually cloudy, so we have to be patient with collection realities."
We are just volunteers trying to assist users on this community support forum and as such, can’t do much to ask that imagery in specific areas be refreshed.
Thank you.
