Map Editing Meet Up At Egerton

Map Editing Meet Up At Egerton

Egerton University Njoro

Nakuru, Kenya

May 25, 2019 @ 11:00 (EAT)

Hey there good people of earth! I hope you’re all doing fantastic. Once again, let’s meet up, this time round in Egerton town. We’ll be making edits to existing contributions on the maps, among other vital changes, the goal being to make Google Maps better, more helpful, and relevant in serving its users. Thereafter, we’ll hop on bikes, cycle through nice mappable landscapes, then fold the day with a nice deserving meal. We’ll gather at 9:45 AM, at the parking lot right opposite Culture Mambo restaurant/ Next to Vicmark Plaza in Nakuru town. One more thing: Your expenses will be funded by your pocket. But hold on, it’s not much; just a few hundreds that will earn you fun for days. You are welcome

@ahadilugo Great initiative. We’ll check it out. You are welcome to join us

@ahadilugo Hello, Thanks for reaching out. I wish we had one collective group for Kenya because I understand that we now have 3 groups in for Nairobi, Nakuru and now the one you’re sharing! I believe it will be more effective if we had one.

@ahadilugo LOL! Biking was more like an after thought because the main goal is mapping.

@questkv hehehe…you still haven’t confirmed if you will teach me to ride a bike as we guide. I really wish I could make it, sounds like it will fun!

Thanks for joining the group, please keep us updated on how everything goes on the group as well so that we can inspire new members.

@Geeki I would absolutely love to come join you guys but the notice is too short. Do you have plans to organize another meet up in the near future? If you can post it atleast a month in advance or so maybe I can drag a few of m friends so that we come and support.

Thank you for joining the group please feel free to share more details about the meet up on the group so that we can inspire other members.

@ViviEParis we now have a Kenya local guide group on fb and it would be great to connect with you there and share ideas so that we can grow together. You can click on this link to join the group.
