I recently visited MAP (Museum of Art & Photography) during Bengaluru Meetup, and it’s definitely a must-visit!
Located right in the city center, it’s super convenient.
This museum is incredible! They have a massive collection, over 60,000 pieces, ranging from ancient to modern art, plus photography, textiles, and even pop culture items.
It’s amazing to see such a wide range of art all in one place.
What impressed me the most was how accessible MAP is. They’ve clearly made a huge effort to make sure everyone can enjoy the museum, and it shows. Big kudos to them for that!
They even won an award for their dedication to universal design!
They have collections of Living Traditions, Modern & Contemporary Art, Photography, Popular Culture, Pre-Modern Art, and Textiles, Craft & Design. So there’s something for everyone!
Plus, they have a cafe, a shop, and a rooftop restaurant, making it a perfect day out.

And the best part? It’s free entry!
You can explore all the amazing art without spending a dime.
If you’re in Bengaluru, you absolutely have to check out MAP. It’s a real cultural gem!

Well explained post supported by beautiful pictures. Sign language board is really a special one. 60000 arts in one place, super. How much time did you spend? Thanks for sharing about this place. I will enjoy for sure.
This is a big art drawn by many artists. I too contributed in drawing this huge drawing. This ia kept in Anna Centenary Library in Chennai.

Thanks for sharing your work. You should definitely visit MAP mam, artist like you will better understand many presentations rather than a common man. Since it was during the meetup we spent less than an hour only. I wish to revisit this place once again

I regret not visiting this lovely museum after looking at the fabulous photos and collages that you’ve shared dear @MathanVibranarayan
Maybe on the next visit
since my top priority during the Bangalore meetup was meeting the amazing Local Guides, hope that spirit prevails during our next meetup.

Nothing like that, dear @MathanVibranarayan
Several people asked me to accompany them to the museum.
But my priority at the meetup was meeting local guides and interacting with them and not visiting museums. Hence I stayed back in the front yard
