Mansion Bearing Traces Of Turkish Culture

Hello Everyone

Today I am here with a new museum in Cappadocia. The museum I am talking about today is the Cappadocia Living Heritage Museum. When you come to Avonosa, after crossing the Kızılırmak River, which is the longest river in Turkey, a mansion greets you. A corridor and a room greet you inside the room, where the Karagöz and Hacivat performances, a kind of shadow play unique to the Turks, are held. After watching a really fun game, we come to another entrance to go to the upper floors. We are greeted by the weaving room at the entrance. In the past, products such as carpets, sweaters and scarves were woven in this room.

When we come to the upper floor, first a large living room and then small sitting areas welcome us. You can have really nice conversations accompanied by a wonderful view. On the opposite side, there is a health room, on the side there is a kitchen with two compartments and an art room. I can feel that delicious food is being cooked in this kitchen. When we come to the third and last floor, a room where folk songs and poems are sung welcomes us. In this room, traditional clothes also welcome us. There is an attic, and I think it’s a place for reading books, with a view that sees everywhere. This mansion is also known as “Dr. Hacı Nuri Bey Mansion” among the local people. The mansion was built in 1902 and represents many elements about Turkish culture. Those who add Cappadocia to their route It’s a place I recommend to stop by. That’s it for now, see you again.

@EmirOzyasar Thanks for sharing this article! A mansion that is still standing that has traces of Turkish culture. It’s fantastic that the structure has been standing there for almost a century and still has so many original features. It’s a great reminder of the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and understanding the historical context of where we live.
