There’s a new spot open in Abu Dhabi, and it’s free for all!
The mangrove walk is a new addition to the attraction around the city and the first one on Jubail Island.
Its a walkway stretching almost 2km right in between of exotic mangroves. What makes it more exciting is that these type of mangroves (gray mangroves) are only able to grow in Abu Dhabi since they require high salinity.
It isn’t just a walk, there’s loads of different activities which include, the floating bridge over the mangrove water, the view tower from where you can view the entire Abu Dhabi skyline, there’s a salt collection point, where one can see how much salt is in these waters and just before the end there’s also a beach platform. The mangrove walk is a must visit, since its free, easily accessible and you get to learn a lot about the local environment
