Mangalore Buns/Banana Buns

A popular breakfast or snack for your evening tea times with family!
This food belongs to the coastal cuisine.

Mildly sweet, soft and fluffy deep fried puris flavoured with ripe bananas which taste utterly delicious with coconut chutney, kurma or saagu

Ingredients that you need to make these yummy mangalore/banana buns- •1 Cup of All purpose flour, •½ Cup of wheat flour
•4tbsp spoons of sugar
•½ glass of sour curd
•½tbsp spoon of soda
•2 small bananas
•Pinch of salt

This is super simple yet scrumptious! Let’s now see how to do it!
Important note: Do not use water to knead the dough.

•Step 1- Add bananas, sugar, curd and grind it to paste.

•Step 2- Transfer the paste to a mixing bowl and add salt and soda, mix it properly.

•Step 3- Add all purpose flour and wheat flour, knead the dough. Apply some oil and set it aside for fermentation for about 5 hours.

•Step 4- Knead the dough again and make small balls, flatten it to round sized puris and deep fry them till they turn golden brown

Fluffy banana buns are ready to serve with any of your favorite combinations.

Slightly sweet taste with a hint banana flavour and relishing with chutney gives a right balance to your tastebuds!
