*Please note that Northern Rail are on strike that day, so the planned access by train is virtually impossible, and getting away by train even more impossible! If you’re coming from Manchester by public transport, I have suggested solutions - please message me @PeteMHW *
Wear warm and waterproof clothes: the weather may be wet, and it’s definitely cold up the castle!
There should be no cost for signed-up Local Guides apart from drinks, food etc.and getting here.
Confirmed programme for the day:
11am - Meet at the front (town side) of the railway station (by Platform Gallery). Please note very slight change in starting place due to rail strike.
Adequate free, time-unlimited street parking is on the other side of the station (BB7 2DU, BB7 2DZ) with a 2 minute walk under the station underpass to the meeting point.
Wander via Platform Gallery and the traditional open market - or relax with a coffee.
11.45 Byrne’s Wine Shop - discover the traditional cellars with a courtesy glass of wine in hand.

2.45 Holmes Mill – with Bowland Food Hall, the nation’s longest bar, a micro brewery, coffee shop and warm friendly place to eat at the end of our day in Clitheroe.
The day officially ends at 4pm – if getting back to Manchester is a problem because of the train strike, please let me know.
