Every two years Manchester holds an arts festival dedicated to new work. In 2019 it was held in July and ran for eighteen amazing days. The area in front of the town hall was converted into festival square with lots of bars, cafes and free performances. Some of the venues were in “found spaces” that are just open for the festival such as the abandoned train station at Mayfield depot. The next festival may be centered around a new venue that’s currently in the construction phase. “The Factory” is a new arts centre for Manchester that will be in the Castlefield area and will bring amazing events to Manchester all year round.

Good to hear that something extra ordinary is happening in Manchester. I like it when there is festival in the city. It is something that make every city unique. A festival is place you could go to escape a boring moment at home. I am beginning to love art works as I now watch them often on TV. Thanks for sharing @Johnbhewitt
