:cloud_with_snow: Do you love snow?!? (not promised)

:icecream: Do you love the cold?!? (definitely confirmed to be cold)

:snowboarder: Do you love the winter months?!? (minus the short days)

:christmas_tree: Do you love Christmas?!? (minus the expensive gift giving)

:tada: Do you love festive parades?!? (surrounded by folks going whoop whoop!)

snowflake_s.gifWell, look no further for your next kick of happiness… as Manchester is hosting a Christmas Parade this coming Sunday, 3rd December 2023, starting at 1pm from Manchester Cathedral and then snaking its way through Deansgate, St Ann’s Street, Cross Street and Corporationcattree_s.gifStreet before finishing at Fennel Street. This is the second Christmas Parade and I’m such a big fan of parades and Christmas so it’s a no brainer for me to be there! Unfortunately, I did miss last year’s inaugural parade so I’m making the extra effort this year! :snowman_with_snow:

The parade will have over 400 participants, last about an hour or so and includes your usual winter-themed delights; Santas, Snow Queens, Dancingsnowglobe_s.gifSnowmen, Reindeer figures, Bouncing Elves, Christmas Glitter Belles, Giant Nutcrackers and Candy Cane stilt walkers! All of that (and more) for the price of FREE (well, you’ll have to pay for your own transportation there).

Do join me and other Manchester Local Guides for a bit of festive fun! :sunglasses:

Date: Sunday, 3rd December 2023

Time: 12.30pm (parade starts at 1pm)

Meet-up point: In front of St Ann’s Church (here); we’ll be on St Ann’s Square side so that the parade will go past us with the Church serving as the backdrop.

To sign up, just leave a comment below to let me know if you’ll be there!

snowstars_s.gifAlso, do dress up warmly as we will be standing in a spot for quite a bit. After the parade we will be having a short wander around St Ann’s Square to get some festive grub/drinks for a natter. Also, I will be video recording the parade as much as possible too; if you do not want to be in the video, please let me know! Thanks!

@Maximilianozalazar Great point! I have tried in the past for the Pride Parade and it’s unfortunately very challenging because of the number of people who are on the phone and possibly live streaming to various social networks. Usually, the network speed is very slow at parades :disappointed_relieved:
