These incomplete caves are located on the banks of a large lake with naturally formed cliff. The caves were built by Mahendra varma Pallavan during 7th century A.D. It comes under the control of “Archaeological Survey of India”. The place is located just behind a village and there is no proper roads to reach. It is not a commercial place and we don’t get anything. I used to go with a meal, snack & plenty of water. I used to visit this place mostly during Oct to Dec with family or friends. If you love silence & hard nature, it is one of the suitable place for you. Walking along the lake bank is not easy. The banks are naturally formed with huge rocks and it takes a day to walk from one end to another end.
