Malaysia for Foodies!

Malaysia is no doubt one of the most famous tourist friendly destination in Asia. Many tourists around the world, especially Asians like me prefer to start their tourism gala from Malaysia as 1st, 2nd destination. However, in this post I will discuss Malaysia not for overall tourism prospective but only the foods and tastes it offers to the visitors.

I visited Malaysia 1st time in September 2019 and reached Kuala Lumpur to explore the hub of Malaysia. After that I spend a couple of days in Langkawi Islands too. Throughout my stay in Malaysia, I had been witnessing the diversity and scale of variety in restaurants and food stalls. While in Kuala Lumpur, I observed the Bukit Bintang area as a hub of tourist attractions including the places for foodies. The most famous and must visit place is Jalan Aor which is a long food chain having hundreds of restaurants and small food huts.

I noticed that pure Malaysian food is so healthy and rich in nutrition because they use maximum seafood, fruits and vegetables but very less oil and spices. You can find almost all eatable seafood in the streets there, mostly the fishes, prawns, crabs, and mushrooms etc. I had crab there first time in my life and also had the fresh pineapples cut live since in my country, Pakistan, you can mostly have canned pineapple or some imported ones. Chinese and Thai food is also available everywhere around and you can also find Fast Food, Western food, Desi Indian/Pakistani food as well as Arabic food at some places.

In, Langkawi Islands, Cenang beach is the best place to stay and there is also a Cenang Walk area where I saw a food street with food vans and stalls. Overall, I would say that Malaysia will not disappoint you if you are a food lover.

Let’s freshen up your mouth with these pictures I had taken at different spots ?
