Since becoming a mother in 2016 I see the world with different eyes.
I re-discovered my city by thinking about other criteria than before when making decisions where to go or what to do: Is there easy access with a stroller? Are there high chairs? Is there a changing table? Is there a comfortable place to nurse? Is the place relaxed enough if my toddler has a tantrum?
In the area where I live this is rather easy for me because although before I didn’t pay attention to those things I know many restaurants, museums etc. But when traveling it can be challenging to know whether for example a restaurant that has very good ratings for the food and service is also child friendly. Google Maps has the “child friendly” icon already but it is still helpful to know more details, such as if there is a changing table or a play corner so in my reviews I am trying to mention those details to make it easier for other parents that might be traveling in my area. Sometimes parents with small children are reluctant to go out so I am hoping that my reviews will be a small encouragemnet and that’s why I love sharing on Google Maps.
