Hi! My name is Ivan, I was born and currently live in Moscow, Russia.
The most interesting thing I’ve made as a local guide, I have made metro station 360 photos and added them to google street view.
Оne day I saw on Google Maps that some guy had several millions of views on his images and noticed that he made some images on metro station.
Metro station in Moscow Subway has 227 stations, 48 stations are recognized as objects of cultural heritage and more than 40 are architectural monuments.
I live at Metro Station called «Molodezhnaya», оne day while I was waiting the train I have made a 360 photo of the station and added it to Google maps.
I can’t imagine that it will attract so many views, for today it have about 32 thousand views on first image and about 16 thousand views on the second image.
Next station where i made photo was «Arbatskaya», it is central station near Kremlin. I was interest how much views it will generate. I thought if it is central station, it will be more popular then my local station, but I was wrong, it has about 24 thousand views for today.
In Moscow we have many photos of central metro stations, but there are not so many of local stations. My experience with Local Guides shows that people need them! My photos are helpful for anybody who arrived on station for the first time or try to find the best way near local place. Try to help people day by day - that’s about me.
I dream to make images from all stations and share them with people from all over the world on Google Maps.
