A common problem in maps is that the photos uploaded by the users are usually shaky, blurry and with bad lighting.
I΄m going to write 5 tips to improve the quality of your food photography, and as well improve the experience of future viewers!
1. Choose an angle that tells the story
You can take a photo flat-lay shot from above or from the angle that you see your food while sitting on the table.
Don΄t choose randomly one of those two options, instead try to analyze your subjects and and keep the better looking one.
2.Include your surroundings
An empty table with just a dish in the middle is not gonna do the job! Include props that are related to your dish, such as ingrediencies, sauces and cooking utensils. However you have to be careful to not overflow your photos and distract the viewer from the main object.
3.Control the light
Lighting is your best friend and your worst enemy at the same time. Place your Dish near a window and have the light coming in the plate from the side, with this technique you are creating shadows that gives depth in our photos and better contrast.
4.Keep the colors simple
Don΄t oversaturate your images, keep the colors as close to reality as possible.
5. Be in your photos
If you are with a friend use him as a model, a human in this kind of photos, makes it visually appealing. Holding a coffee mug, stirring a pot or pouring beverages while having a breakfast is a perfect example!
Bonus
Take the photos that you want to see from others in maps before you visit a place!
