I am passionate about making google maps more user friendly so that when an end user searches for something he should be able to find complete information about. There are few other sites like just dial, sulekha yellow pages etc. that provides more or like same information about a place, hotel or hill station etc. What is that google maps providing which is not there in other sites. A review should not be like a one or two lines, it should be complete information about the place. You have to experience the place / hotel before you review it then only it will be like genuine feedback.
For Example i visited a hotel / restaurants and when i am going to write a review then it should include below points at least.
- Your experience with the restaurants ?
- What kind of food / facilities available there ?
- How is the staff behavior ?
- What kind of payment modes available there ?
- what is the famous food there ?
- Is that a veg or non veg restaurant ?
- Updated contact number of the hotel ?
- Any websites related to the hotel ?
- Rate your experience ?
- Cost of different items / rooms in the hotel ?
- improvements you suggest there ?
- what do you appreciate about the hotel ?
- Land marks to identify the hotel from main road ?
If we can provide above information then users do not opt for any other web site. This obviously improves advertisements to the organization. The more organizations come forward asking maps to rate them by experiencing their facilities which obviously a business.
