One day I have decided to start my new adventure and move from Poland to Australia. As an international student in Victoria I was prepared to try new experiences and activities. I did some research before I came here, I read a lot of articles online, I saw many pictures of things you can do, I even made a bucket list of things to see. But when I arrived, I was so amazed with this place that everything exceeded my expectations. That was the moment I became best friends with Google Maps!
As you see, Australia in general is huge and full of interesting spots, but it requires a lot of planning and preparing for any trip you might take, even the shortest ones. Thanks to Google Maps and Local Guides program everything was so much easier. Not only I was able to plan my journey in detail, check recommendations of places beforehand, but I was also able to leave a mark in form on a review or a photo after every single trip in most interesting places for next explorers to follow. This experience helped me connect with many people and introduced me to so many unique places and experiences that after my graduation I still continue to do this every chance I get.

I strongly recommend to everyone I meet to step out of their comfort zone and do something new to reward yourself for all the hard work you are doing. You can start small, simply open Google Maps and check your surroundings first, maybe you missed some interesting place that is just around the corner? Most importantly get out of the city and take advantage of the uniqueness of the mother nature it might surprised you! People do share amazing recommendations that doesn’t need much planning or resources if you don’t like planning much.
