The Maqbara-e-Paik is the tomb of an unknown person and I reached here after deboarding at the Jahangirpuri metro station on the Yellow line of Delhi Metro. It is just behind the Madina Masjid but there is no access from within the Masjid.
The entrance gate is normally closed but not locked so either call the security person or open it on your own. The surroundings are clean and green. This Maqbara tomb is hidden in the ever-growing concrete jungle of the metro city that Delhi is, the monument still holds to its former glory.
The meaning of the word Paik translates to messenger, hence this seems to be the tomb of an unknown person. The monument was left abandoned for several centuries and was restored only recently by the Archeological Survey of India or ASI, just ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010.
I saw a small staircase leading to the upper floor but that was locked.
So I peeked inside the tomb from one of the windows and saw that it was all broken from inside but some tomb was seen covered with a cloth.
