Without a doubt, these appear to be the most amazing cakes, croissants and biscuits I have ever seen @CyrilBECKER7
Must be great on tastebuds as well.
Welcome to LG Connect and congratulations on your first post here
Looking at your various accomplishments in the area of linguistics and travels across the globe, looking forward to many more interesting posts out here.
I am glad i was finally able to share one first post of my french expereinces, as google maps is systematically rejecting all of my reviews in FRance country I do not know why and did not receive any positive feedback from assistance explaining the reason. At least I will be able to share them here which is already a great thing.
I would suggest using the @ tool to address people when replying, as I and @TonyAlexander have done above.
This sends a notification to people about your message and helps keep the communication streamlined.
You are right his shop in Tokyo is pretty old I went there back in 2008 when I visited Tokyo as I passed by the crazy busy Shibuya district. I was surprised to find his presence there.
One other greatest chef in Japan who did it the other way around is Sadaharu AOKI, his macarons and cakes are excellent as well, in my opinion he is the greatest challenger of Pierre HERME. He started his businees in France after learning high level patisserie by opening 3 locations around PAris and went back to Japan later around 2005 to open a store in the Marunouchi store. If you are still around you can pay this store a visit and give it a try. Their macha green tea flavoured cakes are just awesome. Pity I was unable to retrieve a picture as it was a long time ago but there are already tons of them online.
Thank you for your heartfelt reply. Actually, Sadaharu Aoki is a household name here now. In Shibuya, you can enjoy his green tea cakes here. Personally, I prefer his macrons. Next time I have business in Tokyo around Marunouchi I will definitely pay the other store a visit. Thank you for sharing.
@TonyAlexander yes I heard about him since 2018 as he finished 3rd place that year and everyone was considering him to be a great challenger for first prize in the upcming years. He finally did it in 2023 congrats to him, you can find his bakery here.
He won a prize and will have honour to supply the palace of Elysee during one year to feed the Elite members of french government (president and ministers especially) and foreign notorious guests.
Oh… This place is truly a paradise for me @CyrilBECKER7
Everything is so tempting, full of sweetness
Could you please share the Google Maps’ link of this place?
I’ve saved the one in Japan, too. Although this year, I’m going to visit Japan, but since I don’t have much time, I’m not sure if I can visit Maison Pierre there
