The Mahi Bajaj Sagar Dam is a huge and beautiful dam near Banswara in Rajasthan, built on the Mahi River. It’s really important for the region because it helps with electricity, farming, and providing water to nearby areas. The dam is super long and creates a massive reservoir that has so many little islands, people even call Banswara the “City of Hundred Islands.” It’s surrounded by hills and nature, so it’s also a nice place to visit. What’s cool is that the water from this dam might even be used in the future for a big nuclear power project.
The ideal time to visit the Mahi Dam is during the post-monsoon months, from September to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, and the surrounding landscape is lush and green, offering a picturesque setting for visitors.

Yes, the area is wheelchair accessible. It is an open space where you can view the dam. There is a road that goes right up to the dam, so you can park your vehicle near the dam itself.
