Maharashtra established 1 may 1960.Before establishment of maharashtra, Gujarat and maharashtra was a single state…That was known as Mumbai state…After indepence of maharashtra Government of India, accepted the separation or creation of both state on basis of language…Sorry for being late… Hope you got enough information about maharashtra day…
