Mahabodhi Temple is located at a distance of about 15 km from Gaya. This temple was first built by Emperor Ashoka in the third century BC and was renovated in the Gupta period from the fifth to the sixth century. This structure is completely made of bricks. Classical Indian temple architecture makes this heritage even more valuable. This temple is a world heritage and is located in the Mahabodhi complex. In this complex, there is the Bodhi tree where Buddha attained enlightenment.
Taking videos or photos with a mobile is prohibited in this complex, but photos can be taken with a still camera. Due to my lack of knowledge, I had left the camera in the hotel itself, due to which I could not take photos inside the complex.
