Christmas festive time is indeed the most magical time of the year ! Across UK you will see it celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. One of our most memorable Christmas was last year in Sunderland , UK. Sunderland is full of wonderful people and groups who are working hard across the Festive Season to ensure homes across the City have the best Christmas they can. Here is a Christmas treats in Sunderland Maps list that I created for the people to enjoy Christmas treats delivered at their doorstep this year (which in turn also helps the local business grow) as we know strict restrictions have been imposed across UK ! The Sunderland Council and team each year organise amazing event called ‘Festival Of lights’ during December to celebrate the Christmas in style !!! In 2019, this festival was held at Mowbray Park in Sunderland.
The Sunderland ‘Festival Of Light’ 2019 had below fun events/ shows:
Live music and Christmas Carols by choir
New light installations around the entire Mowbray park and City Center
Illuminated street theatre characters
Extra craft activities/shows for entire family
Play park with Christmas tree ,decor and carousel for kids
Food stalls with yummy festive options
Ice rink for skating-lovers and Tipi with festive barbeque food and drinks
It’s really amazing to see how beautiful is Sunderland during the Christmas ! I have made a video on it ,as all of it cannot be merely put in words or captured in photos ! So, here is a video showing how we celebrated our magical Christmas in Sunderland in 2019!!!

I love this Festival of lights, this is one of the things that I am missing this year. However I am happy that we both have materials unused from the last year, that is helpful to spread a bid of happiness in these difficult days.

Our 2019 Christmas in Sunderland was really magical with lovely Disney characters, my son loved the decorations and illuminations ! London Christmas is always exotic and magical, I have shared the London 2020 Christmas decoration pics on instagram. We couldn’t go out much this year due to further strict restrictions in London though !
