The Buddhist Amarapura Nikaya sect had its first upasampada (higher ordination ceremony) on a fleet of boats anchored upon it in 1803. The Buddhist Kothduwa templeis situ ated on an isolated island in the lake.

Yes Sri Lanka has amazing natural beauty but the sadness thing is some of people destroying them. They have no idea about what they’re doing
