There is so much to do in Maboneng, and this time the focus will be on the street art, the street vendors, the market and street life in general. We may not get to the rooftops this time. The live bands begin around 1:30 pm and Maboneng comes alive with music from that time. Bring a bag with a shoulder strap across your body. Load Snapscan and or Zapper. You will also need R20.00 for the car guards. Bring sunscreen, hat and water. The group may be quite mixed, and I will also hope to have “Local Guides” join us.I t makes it interesting and always tons of fun. Looking forward to meeting newbies and catching up with old faces. I will create a WhatsApp group closer to the event. And also give you the exact meeting place on the morning. It’s safe to park your car under the bridge or on Fox Street. PS: I know that one of the photos is not from Maboneng, it’s to see if you are paying attention.

Hi I really sorry for not attending this meet up. Because on Sunday is very hard for me to visit places around Jhb. And other reason please if it is possible for you choose for all of us next meet up in Rose bank Sandton. It will be very safe for foreigners too.

Hi,

Maboneng is as safe for foreigners as most places in Johannesburg.

There is nothing particular to see in Rosebank or Sandton but you are welcome to set up your own meetup there. It is cosmopolitan and there are some outdoor cafes.

My weekends are for relaxing and exploring, and usually go to the outdoor parks, the inner city or even the bird gardens in Montecasino.
