Lychee maturity is coming

Lychee is a sweet fruit that is only found in southern China and is mainly produced in Dongguan County, China. It is difficult for foreigners to have the opportunity to taste, because this fruit is not easy to preserve long. Its maturity is only two months in the summer. So foreigners come to Hong Kong and don’t forget to taste this fruit this season.

What an interesting fruit @Marschan . Thank you for introducing it to the community. By the way, the inside of the Lychee reminds me a little bit of the Rambutan fruit. Have you tried it?

Yes@KlaudiyaG, I have tried the Rambutan fruit before.

We have named it “Lychee with hair”, because the taste and the shape is very closed to Lychee.

Thanks for your comment.

That’s a funny way of calling it. I like it, from now on that’s how I’m going to call it. Which one do you think is more sweet and which one is your personal favorite?

Looking forward to your reply @Marschan .

Hi @PhanorjitFon ,

The jelly animals are very cute. By the way, @Marschan started a few days back a topic about Lychee and as the conversation turned to a discussion about exotic fruits such as Rambutan, I decided to merge both threads, as they share the same subject matter. This will reduce clutter on Connect.

By the way, have you tried Lychee?

In Chinese name Rambutan紅毛(red hair)丹(small ball).

Lychee is much more sweeter and delicious than Rambutan. If you come to Hong Kong these two months and taste it by yourself, you must agree with me.

Lychee is translate from the sound 荔枝, once you come to Hong Kong, you just told the shop keeper to find for you.

Hi @KlaudiyaG ,

Yes, I have tried the Lychee. There are many types of Lychee, But one of them I like to eat it is calls"Jakkaphat" See the picture.

Their “Jakkaphat” body seems like the heart, thick crust, Thick texture, Opaque white. The taste is quite sweet and a bit sour. But It’s expensive.

I recommend it.

It is correct, there are many type of lychee, some are taste sour.

糯米糍It is thick and juicy, with a sugar content of more than 15%. It is sweet like honey, with bright red & thin skin and small nuclei. The famous writer Qin Mu once described this fruit as glutinous rice with the words “big fruit, fine, clear, smooth, juicy, and sweet” .
