Lush green Himalayas near Pinjore, India

During my recent road trip to the Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh in India, I came across a spectacular view of the might green mountains and the surrounding fields near Pinjore district, Haryana.

Being the monsoon season, the natural serenity and calmness was magnificent. Have a look at these pictures and decide for yourself.

@KanishkNagpal very nice view you have there on this photo. I don’t really understand the Himalayas. Which country owns the majority of the area?

Hello @Austinelewex

Thank you for appreciating the pictures.

Coming to your question, the Great Himalayan mountain region covers a good portion of Northern India, North East India, and almost entire area of Nepal and Bhutan countries.

If we consider the area wise distribution, India has the maximum area which is covered by Himalayas amongst other countries.

Stunning views @KanishkNagpal , I wish I could go there right now. The Himalayas are a dream to visit and I’m sure that some day I will.

I’ve always associated the Himalayas with Nepal but maybe I should consider combining it with a trip to India.

Thank you @MortenSI

Yes you should definitely visit Himalayas in India, along with Nepal and Bhutan. You will not regret it.

I really hope to do so @KanishkNagpal , and I’m sure it will be a trip to remember! I have a dream about going to the base camp on Mount Everest someday.

I’m no mountaineer or climber at all so I wouldn’t go any further up than that, but I’ve heard it should be a great experience.

I am also not a mountaineer but I also enjoy such landscapes. Here’s wishing you a very happy journey and a pleasant experience in advance

Hope you get to go there soon
