We use to say ‘once in a blue moon’ to indicate rare cases. Today’s night is full moon night and the moon is coming very closer to the earth. Also from different parts of the globe we are going to observe ‘lunar eclipse’ as well. Today’s eclipse is very special because of these factors:
Super moon will appear as moon is coming so closer to earth.
This is the total eclipse .
In Gregorian calendar, it’s the situation of ‘blue moon’ as the same contains two full moon’ nights.
This is very rare astronomical event which occurred in 152 years ago in March 32, 1866 and is the first and last opportunity to see in lifetime.
So let’s don’t miss this rare incidence. According to Nepal Astronomical Society, the eclipse can be seen from all over the world expect some parts of Africa. I have seen in different posts that many LGs are occupied with high techno-fitted cameras. It will be blissful moment for me to see those moments captured in cameras from different parts of the globe and exposed here.
Let’s observe and share this ‘once in a blue moon’ moment with other local guides.
There will be no side effect to observe this lunar eclipse with naked eyes .
I hope this post will be the archive for upcoming generations as the same case will happen after 152 years.
Here not only lunar eclipse but total eclipse will exist for 1 hr 16 minutes. A lot of time too observe the eclipse. I am also counting the hours @NareshDarji .
