It is one of the biggest event, internationally speaking, about Comics, Games, Manga, Cartoons and so on. It takes place normally in November, in the first week of the month according where the weekend states, and it takes the complete city with over 250.000 tickets sold at last edition.
If you like comics and games that’s the place to be, there is everything to find about. Old memories, new preview, movies, series, anime, live shows and everybody dressed!
I have just stumbled in your post and I have to say that it brought me back really good memories. The last Comics that I attended was four years ago, and the city of Lucca during these 4/5 days is literally going crazy.
I have heard throughout the years complaints from people about the confusion and the mess around, but at the end of the day it’s a great occasion to bring colours and happiness around.
Did you make these pictures? They are extremely good ones.
oh nice, thanks, and you know what ? Also my first one was four years ago when I moved to Lucca haha, what a coincidence .
It improved every year and always bringing more people but I find it really amazing, a complete city is a set of a movie and the atmosphere is great.
I fully agree with you, yes many people are complaining, still, but I believe there will be always someone doing so hehe … because of the mess, because of the closed streets, because of no parking space, and so on but it is an event of few days, nice event for the city which brings tons of people and they all use hotels, restaurants, shops, in a very nice and relaxed environment like you said.
Yes I’ve made them with my reflex camera, I’m passionate about taking pictures everywhere whatever is with the mobile phone (and for LG reviews haha) or the camera. Thank you very much!!!
Thank you very much for getting back to me. This along with Summer Festival is one of the happiest moment to be in Lucca. Do you know if the digital photo festival is still on?
No worries about it and thanks for the info. Just back from Lucca ( I stayed only couple of days for the Firenze Rocks) and I saw that they made a really interesting exhibition close to the walls called “Museo della follia”. Did you have the chance to visit it?
oh you should have told me so perhaps we might have taken a coffee together . Perhaps you have been too busy in such short time hehe, so to the next time! Yep it is a temporary museum by Vittorio Sgarbi which runs till August but haven’t get any possibility to visit it so far.
In my defense I can say that this was a really quick visit and I couldn’t even managed to go to the seaside. But I found Lucca in really good shape and full of life and events and this surprised me positively.
unfortunately nope for this year, maybe next one. Yep true especially because it is his last live tour … so he should be giving the best of for a great concert .
