Lovely cake for my niece’s birthday. This is a Chocolate Biscuit Cake. It has a chocolate biscuit base, it is then covered in marzipan, after a layer of marzipan then it is completely covered in white icing and then a design of gold and silver icing. Then decorated with candles and other cake ornaments.
The Teenagers loved it

I am not a massive fan of marzipan, but the design of this cake looks fabulous.
I also spotted a bowl on the left of the the cake. Can you please tell me what is it, as I am quite curious?

Hey @Sorbe Thanks, ah yes that is a bowl of coleslaw, finely chopped cabbage, carrots mixed with mayonnaise. There was other stuff on the table to eat, egg mayonaise, potato salad, corn, salads of all types,served with fresh Irish salmon, also bread rolls and garlic bread and of course the Vino , 
white, red, Presco and later some Irish coffees.I just took photo of the cake as I was taking photos of all the family

My niece designed the cake and what she wanted, then the Baker made the cake At Christmas we also have marzipan in the Christmas cake, a rich fruit cake covered in marzipan then White icing like snow, then decorations on the cake also traditional wedding cake is just like this
