Love, Joy and Happiness

For me the best part about travelling is ease of discovering a new place and “Google Maps” has been my knight on a shiny screen!

I remember my first solo trip, driving through forests and deserted roads of Karnataka to discover waterfalls on a whim. From being able to plan my entire itinerary on the maps by pinning locations to saving maps offline for a no network zone, Google Maps has made my travels a breeze.

Till date, if I’m planning a trip, I’d ‘Google’ the key locations I want to visit, plot them on my ‘Google Maps’ to figure out a route and set course. Of course, once I reach the destination it’s about clicking numerous pictures with my ‘Google Pixel 3’, and uploading a select few with my reviews and write ups about the local places.

It’s not only on trips that I use Google Maps, each time I am travelling my timeline is synced to the place I’ve visited and I get a prompt to write about the place. My most favourite places to review are restaurants and people can easily access these user reviews and make a quick decision. I also like to help out fellow patrons by answering questions about the amenities of the places I’ve visited.

However, I haven’t been about to host a meet-up yet or be a part of one. I wish to connect with local guides through one such event and make the most of this amazing opportunity!
