I had this flight from Montreal to Japan last month… The flight path flew over North Pole. Unfortunately I overslept and didn’t take picture outside the window (expected to see some Santa’s toy factory maybe )
But then… Another wonder came in, as I flew over Siberia in Russia… I saw this beautiful mountains lying like a carpet with such a beautiful sky… Wiped my eye to make sure it was real… And immediately took out my phone and head to the window of the emergency door (I was assigned aisle seat at that time).
Thank you for your first post in the Photography board and for sharing your special experience of flying over Siberia with us. In this board you can learn a lot about photography and see very interesting photos, plus you can ask for advice.
Did you happen to use any editing software or filter? I really like how blue the sky is.
P.S.: I am going to relabel your post to Local Stories section, as there the Local Guides share inspiring stories why they like to be Local Guides, how they contribute to Google Maps, and posts related to their Connect applications.
Thank you for your interest towards my post and the picture I attached.
There was no filter in this photo. But since I took this from aircraft window which at that time was Boeing 787, there might be a little filter applies due to their window’s technology.
I took many shot for the same scenes, and it resulted as pretty similar from the one I posted.
Regardless of that… God has awesome creation upon many things… Why do we need to use filter~
You are right, nature does not always need filter. I look forward to seeing the rest of your photos.
Also, there is another Local Guide @nmorette on Connect, who has started a thread related to airplane window photos. If you like, you may share some of your photos there.
