The diversity of the landscape, the history and viking saga is fascinating and I bring it to life for my guests, people can almost live the past when Iceland was first settled around the year 870 ad.
This waterfall Oxararfoss was essential for the Vikings, they believed that the elf of the waterfalls had to be present at a sacred place like their parliament. Therefore they diverted the river to go down at this spot.
