Lost thousands of contributions?

Recently I reviewed my Achievements of my account, and found that somehow my account has lost THOUSANDS of contributions I made. Maybe this has been answered somewhere, but since Google seems to have had schizophrenia about how locals work, I wasn’t aware of an answer. I answered thousands of questions over the past few years since I started, (2016), and for some reason, 90% of those have been lost. I thought awhile back that I had lost a level, given that someone I know who started years later than me now has quadruple the number of contributions I had, no wonder. I’d like to know what happened, and what Google’s going to do about this ridiculous way of doing things…

Is Auto-delete set to OFF in your settings found here? If not, please change it to OFF.

And make a reply to request help. Feel free to tag one of the Google Moderators.

Hello @JanKohl

In addition to what Morten pointed out to you, If the auto delete was on,just to let you know you won’t recover your lost points. Hopefully after this, you will not lose anymore if Auto-delete is set to off.

Please confirm that you have been able to rectify the issue here. Happy guiding and Mapping.

Cheers

Morten, I believe that you are correct with the resolved issue about loss of points. that would have been around the right time period (I think), and it looks like unfortunately that it’s permanent and irretrievable. sigh Oh well. Thanks for helping me figure out what happened.
