I love using google maps mainly because of two reasons; one being my desire to help the community by providing information about existing places and adding new place since I myself have been in a situation where google maps helped me by providing me the routes while I was abroad. So, by being a local guide, I give back to the society, cannot imagine my situation had google maps not assisted me while I was abroad. I also love adding reviews to the restaurants as I myself am quite a foodie guy.
The other reason is my passion to explore what the real treasure of world looks like, yes, I am talking about the rich cultural places in the world. I often look for places on google maps that are famous for their culture, for example: Tikal located in Guatemala, the Great Pyramids in Egypt, Stonehenge in England, Omayyad Mosque in Syria, The Colosseum and Forum in Rome and Taj Mahal in India etc. Because google and local guides have provided such a positive image and details of these places, I have them on my travel-list.
