Lost city of Mohen Jo Daro - World Tourism Day Tour (Episode 5)

Most famous and Most Important Archeological cite of Pakistan meaning of its name is Mound of Dead. It is estimated about 5000 to 8000 years old civilization.The civilization was flourished 2500-1800 B.C. is culturally as important as that of Sumer and Egypt.It is vastest of all ancient civilizations having More than a thousand sites recorded.

It is also called Indus civilization.No body knows the religion of this civilization.It was Discovered in 1911 It was first excavated in 1922 at that time India and Pakistan was combined so the Most famous statue of Dancing Girl’ is a 4500-year-old statue from Mohen jo daro kept in New Delhi’s National Museum.

If you want to Go Mohen jo daro you can go by road and also by air easily. We go their on my car, when we are going for World tourism day celebrations to Karachi on the way we decided to visit Mohen jo daro.

It was very hot up to 45° and Area is very vast so must keep water Bottles with you and wear Hats specially in Summer but best time to go December to March.

Most prominent remains is this Buddhist Stupa which is built almost 2000 to 2500 years after the original civilization was vanished by Buddhists almost 2000 years old.

The ancestors of this civilization was highly advanced their social cultural,economic and religious conditions are reflected though their town planning. They have Public toilets system. They also have organized Drainage system all drains were covered with lime stone. so bad smell would not produce. They have Dustbins on corner of every street.Most amazing thing they also have a Swimming pool with cold and hot water facility.

Visit of Pakistan remains incomplete If any tourist will not visit Mohen jo daro
